For adult Kentuckians enrolled in Medicaid, DMS has filed new regulations to cover more comprehensive coverage for dental, hearing, and vision services. YOUR INPUT IS NEEDED! We’re collecting comments now on how to make the most of these services.
The Kentucky Department for Medicaid Services (DMS) has filed new regulations to cover more comprehensive dental, hearing, and vision services for approximately 900,000 adults enrolled in Medicaid coverage. Some services were covered as of January 1st, 2023, but the previous regulations were found deficient by the Kentucky General Assembly in SB65 during the 2023 Regular Session.
In order for dental, vision and hearing services to continue to be available to thousands of Kentuckians, new emergency regulations have been filed by DMS. These new regulations include some provider rate increases and additional covered services. They will have no significant impact on Kentucky’s budget.
