Please tell us how you, your family or your community has benefited from Medicaid coverage for dental care, vision care, and transportation assistance: My first cousin was HIV postive due to his former wifeÍs drug abuse. He has worked all his life remodeling homes. Medicaid saved his life b/c he could not afford the premiums for even a sketchy 80/20 policy. At 58 he is losing his teeth. He canÍt afford the needed dental bridge work with the limited money he can earn.

Please tell us how eliminating these benefits would affect you, your family, or your community: Meth addiction is a huge problem in Ky. Most people in families of a meth addicted member are too poor or ignorant of how important good dental care is too their digestive system and overall health. Kentucky needs to spend more money on dental care for the poor and needy on Medicaid, not less.
