Please tell us how some or all of these changes affect you, your family, or your community. In my community, many individuals put off getting early/preventative care due to the cost of a physician or hospital visit. As a result, their health degrades and reaches a more critical state before heading to, usually, the ER. Cost-sharing in an attempt to reduce over-utilization just comes back 10x worse over time, for all parties – patient, provider, and insurer.

Adding another cost barrier to basic care only compounds this issue, which will lower overall community health and drive up costs in all facets of care.
