Tell us more about how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected you or your family. Covid19 has affected my entire extended family and my friends and community. Personally in my community FIVCO District KY there is a huge divide between those who will comply with the Public Health Mandates from our State Governor and Public Health Director and The White House Guidance and mandates – and those who Will Not. My Father is in late stage lung and heart failure, my mother is late 70’s caring for him and sheltering at home because she has heart disease and had heart failure, I am disabled and have a compromised immune system and Lung Disease, my son has to drive 7 hrs round trip for work, my daughter in law shelters in place with their 2 daughters 5 mo and 17 mo. This division is coming from sadly some mega houses of worship that believe it’s a hoax and continue to not follow mandate and from politics. Our Governor is a Democrat and the senate majority is Republican and cause him grief and the public grief. We need one appointed Leader we can trust to brief the public daily with complete transparency and authority because We The People elected him and this is shameful anyone would use politics to stir drama and resort in hate speech. Along with the majority in the FIVCO DISTRICT KY would decrease significantly and we could focus on the simple request universal masking, social distancing, avoid crowds, wash and sanitize your hands. We need to stop believing lies from fb fake news, watch the Gov daily, read the CDC and our state web site for accurate information – and most of all show compassion for others. You may feel it’s stupid, your young and will not be affected, or just plain rebellious.. be we need to love our neighbor more than ourselves – protect yourself and others following these guidelines.
