Please tell us how you, your family or your community has benefited from Medicaid coverage for dental care, vision care, and transportation assistance: I am a dentist at a Kentucky public health clinic and the majority of the patients I treat receive Medicaid coverage. The oral health needs in Kentucky are many and taking away dental coverage takes away the opportunity to improve the overall health of our population.

Please tell us how eliminating these benefits would affect you, your family, or your community: Most of my patients will be unable to continue their treatment plans and/or to receive treatment when they have life threatening dental infections. There are proven connections between someone’s oral heath and their overall health. By hindering access to dental care, we are impacting the overall health of my patients and our neighbors in the community.
